June 27, 2014

Bi-directional scanning is now fully implemented and tested.

June 19, 2014

Version 1.2 of the Turnstile Ticket Scanner released.
Ideas for how to improve scanning speed even more led to further development of the core system. The result was very successful, and scanning speed is now at least 3 times faster than it was at the F1 event - less than half a second from barcode is scanned until turnstile is open. Also start-up time of the Turnstile Ticket Scanner has been significantly reduced.

June 6-8, 2014

The updated system was successfully used at the Superbike World Championship at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia this weekend.

May 23, 2014

Version 1.1 of the Turnstile Ticket Scanner released, and version 1.2 of the Local Ticket Server released.
Based on experiences from the F1 event in March the system was further developed and improved, including 600 milliseconds faster scanning and better overview over the operation of the turnstiles. Also, all software on both server and turnstiles is now updateable and can be customized to match customer needs.

March 30, 2014

After many months of development and testing the turnstile system is utilized in its full setup at the Formula 1 race at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia. We were very curious about performance at an event of this size using both entry, exit and re-entry scanning - but even at peak times the system had no performance issues at all. Throughout the event we made notes of where we could improve the system, particularly in configuring, monitoring, and maintenance.
